Adia Dozier

She was a woman who prided herself in being a wife of excellence, now transformed by the weight of 45 caliber bullet to the label of widow! Yet from the depths of despair, Adia emerged as a testament to the power of faith and resilience. Rather than succumbing to despair, she embarked on a path towards recovered healing, anchored by professional counseling, fervent prayer, and unwavering determination to be whole again. She declared, "I WILL NOT REMAIN BROKEN!"

From Pain to Purpose

Long after a traumatic event has passed, the effects of trauma can still leave a lasting impact on your mood, relationships, and self-perception. When trauma impairs your ability to develop full emotional maturity and control, this is known as 'arrested psychological development'. Simply put, we all know someone whose trauma has "frozen" them emotionally in time. And your trauma may not be her trauma, but if we live long enough we all have to heal to overcome something. This devastating wound was meant to damage and limit Adia's capacity for receiving and showing love! To be left emotionally handicapped, cold hearted, and to never fully trust love again.

Empowered to Love:

After years of perseverance and spiritual growth, Adia's heart found restoration as God answered her prayers in the form of a second marriage to a humble man of integrity. Their paths orchestrated as she was joined to an intentional and supportive man who was used as a tool to minister to the tender areas where she still hurt, and to help heal wounds that she could not see. His love and patience illuminated areas God had previously been trying to reach, but having been

guarded, she had forbidden anyone to touch. Her character, forged in the crucible of adversity, now serves as a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith, love, and perseverance.
