When and where is the VELVET Women's Conference 2027?
April 26–28, 2027 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ontario Airport, 222 N Vineyard Ave, Ontario, California 91764. The welcome reception is Monday, April 26, and conference programming runs Tuesday, April 27 and Wednesday, April 28.
How much are VELVET tickets?
Early Bird tickets are $349 (only 10 at this price, until sold out). General Admission is $499 beginning December 16, 2026, and the VIP Experience is $599. Two-ticket packages are $899 for General Admission for Two and $998 for VIP for Two.
What is included with my ticket?
Every ticket includes full two-day conference access, the Monday welcome reception, keynotes, wellness sessions and play shops, plus breakfast and lunch. VIP adds reserved front seating, a speaker meet-and-greet, speaker photo opportunities and VIP Experience Lounge access.
Can I pay over time?
Yes. Flexible payment plans are available through Klarna for all ticket purchases at checkout.

VELVET is presented by BWA (Black Women Authors) Magazine & Publishing LLC, a platform that champions Black women authors and diverse voices. The conference welcomes all women.
What is the BWA Book Awards at VELVET?
New for 2027, authors who buy a VELVET ticket can submit their book to the BWA Book Awards. Winners will be celebrated on stage at VELVET. Categories, rules and prizes will be announced when entries open in January 2027.
Is there a hotel discount?
Yes. The VELVET room-block rate at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ontario Airport is $179 per night plus applicable taxes ($205.85 per night including the 15% bed tax).
How do I get there?
Fly into Ontario International Airport (ONT), about 2 miles from the hotel, and take the hotel's complimentary airport shuttle. Southwest Airlines offers VELVET attendees discounted fares through SWABIZ for travel April 23 to May 1, 2027.
Can I bring a friend?
