Linda Drattell is an award-winning poet and writer who divides her time between Boulder, Colorado, and Barcelona. Her poetry and prose draw on a lifetime of experience, including her work in peer support, community relations, and advocacy for people who are deaf and hard of hearing.
After becoming deaf in her thirties, Linda learned to navigate personal, professional, and family relationships in new ways. Writing also helped her process the lasting impact of surviving the 2016 terror attack in Nice, France. These experiences inform work that is compassionate, honest, and deeply attentive to resilience.
Linda earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an MBA from American University in Washington, D.C. Her writing has earned recognition from the Reader Views Literary Awards, the Independent Press Awards, Writer’s Digest, and the Atlanta Review.
