Meet the Author
A Life Inspired by Legacy
His formal given name is Darryl Robinson. In honor of his dear father, he writes and creates under the artistic name D. “Robert” Robinson.
The passing of his mother in 2021 and his father in 2023 became a profound source of inspiration for his artistic journey. He describes them as truly wonderful parents and proud Americans whose love and example continue to shape his work.
His love of words and storytelling has led him to write three fiction novels and two original poetry books. His poetry is also presented in audio format, voiced with the warmth and honesty of the common man and woman.
With ambition and humility, D. Robert hopes one day to grow from an aspiring poet into a poet laureate—continuing to use language as a bridge between memory, meaning, and community.
